Follow up Meeting For Marshall School Neighbors

Please join Council Member McAustin & PUSD Board President Tom Selinske to discuss the progress on issues brought forth at the 1/15/09 meeting. Please continue reading for the list of concerns.

1) PA system - Principal Derrick will look into reducing the volume of the outdoor speakers and try to minimize the alarm/bell that goes off every morning at 6:40AM.

2) Notification System - Principal Derrick will look into posting information on civic center permits issued for Marshall on the school's website.

3) Red Curb on Casa Grande at Tierra Alta - Council Member McAustin will investigate why the curb has been painted red and why the bus stop may have been moved.

4) Residential parking only on north side of Casa Grande _ Council Member McAustin will ask City Staff to look into the possibility of creating a preferential parking zone.

5) Field Lights - PUSD has no plans to issue permits that include lights

6) A follow-up meeting with neighbors will be held in March to talk about progress on these items. Council Member McAustin's office will organize the meeting on behalf of Board Member Selinske.

7) Donn Dufford has agreed to be the point of contact between the neighborhood and the school. He and Principal Derrick will connect to decide on how they will communicate.
